We are a not-for-profit institution that provides an environment of learning and discovery based upon the teachings of Dr. Maria Montessori. Each of our multi-age classrooms provides a full complement of sequential and self-correcting Montessori materials, and more importantly, teachers who have a balanced understanding of the Montessori philosophy and its implementation through the expansive curriculum. Each class is directed by a Master Montessori teacher, who is assisted by Montessori interns who are in the process of completing their year-long, Master’s level training.
We endeavor to nurture the heart and challenge the intellect of each child through meaningful multi-sensory experiences. The individualized activities promote concentration, self-esteem, respect and self-motivation and lay a strong foundation for a lifetime of learning. We also seek to foster character development in our students through a positive awareness of the balance between the freedom to act and the social responsibility to others. Peace and conflict resolution are taught and modeled as a central focus of the curriculum.
Self-expression is nurtured, and children experience art, music, poetry, theater, writing and other forms of creative arts with confidence and passion. We offer afterschool enrichment classes in such topics as Spanish, yoga, chess, piano and guitar, as well.
The foundation of our success is built upon a diverse and supportive community of children, parents and educators that all work together to help the child create the adult that is to be. We'd love your family to join us!
