The Soul Message Band is a soulful, bluesy jazz group lead by B3 organ player Chris Foreman. Blind at birth, Foreman started playing piano at age five and began formal training at seven, and has since gone on to work with jazz greats including Hank Crawford, Albert Collins, Bernard Purdie, The Mighty Blue Kings and Deep Blue Organ Trio. This blues-gospel and jazz group also features drummer Greg Rockingham, guitarist Lee Rothenberg and saxophonist Greg Jung. This concert will be recorded live for Chicago Jazz Live on WDCB.
