Levy Lecture Series Presents via Zoom: "Ode to Beethoven: The Man Behind the Music” with German historian Anette Isaacs
Join German historian Anette Isaacs for a virtual celebration in anticipation of the legendary composer Ludwig van Beethoven’s 250th birthday in this year. To this day, German born Ludwig van Beethoven is the most listened to creator of classical music. Isaacs will provide an intimate look at the life and times of this tragic genius who was as famous for his fiery personality as for his divine ability to turn his personal struggles into supreme and powerful melodies.
Anette Isaacs, MA, is a German Historian and Public Educator who has been presenting hundreds of programs on more than 30 different topics (all pertaining to her native country's history, politics, and culture) in the Chicagoland area and in South Florida. She has master's degrees in American Studies, Political Science, and History and is an adjunct faculty member at the lifelong learning departments of Oakton College, the College of Lake County, Harper College, the College of DuPage, and McHenry County College.
