Event Description Susan Saladoff's HOT COFFEE (2011, 86 min.) reveals what really happened to Stella Liebeck, the woman who spilled coffee on herself and sued McDonald’s, while exploring how and why the case garnered so much media attention, who funded the effort and to what end. In HOT COFFEE, lawyer-turned-filmmaker Susan Saladoff closely looks at this and three other cases that illustrate the current threats to the legal rights of everyday citizens.
