Event Description
In one of the many accolades worldwide for this extraordinary pianist, Anthony Tommasini of the New York Times raved that “Montero’s playing had everything: crackling rhythmic brio, subtle shadings, steely power in climactic moments, soulful lyricism, ruminative passages, and, best of all, unsentimental expressivity.” Gabriela Montero's visionary interpretations of classic repertoire are highlighted in works by Chopin and Liszt, followed by an entire half dedicated to her jaw-dropping improvisations on themes suggested by the audience. This concert is certainly not to be missed!

Franz Liszt, Sonata in B Minor, S. 178
Montero will dedicate the entire second half to improvisations on themes or pieces suggested by the audience.
